Ronald Gave a Speech on Entrepreneurship to Brigham Young University (BYU) in the US

Being an entrepreneur with more than 25 years of solid experience in managing various global businesses in both Hong Kong and China, Ronald, the CEO of Lifewood was invited by Professor Fred Woods to give a speech on entrepreneurship to the Marriott School, the Business School of Brigham Young University in Utah of USA on June 6th, 2007.

The presentation drew the attendance from hundreds of students who are interested in how to become a successful entrepreneur and understanding the management perspectives in Asia. In the presentation, Ronald shared with the students on what key elements an entrepreneur should have, and how to sustain business through synergizing multi-disciplinary knowledge and resources by taking advantage of globalization where ¡°The World is Flat¡±. In the mean time, Ronald also took his track record in setting up Lifewood Data from a home-grown enterprise into a global firm to illustrate how to adopt ¡®Blue Ocean¡± strategy to avoid head-to-head competition but create a new market place in the BPO industry for continual growth of the company.

With an enthusiastic support from the professors and students of the Marriott School, the presentation and discussion stimulated a fruitful exchange of ideas in managing business from different perspectives.

Savantas Policy Institute Visited Lifewood Knowledge Factory

Further to joining the BPO & IT Outsourcing Summit 2006, Mrs. Regina Ip, the former Secretary for Security of the government of the HKSAR and now the Chairperson of Board of Governors of Savantas Policy Institute led her core team to visit Lifewood¡¯s Knowledge Factory, an industrialized managed data processing centre on 19th of January 2007.

During the plant visit, our CEO Mr. Ronald Cheung demonstrated how Lifewood can be reasonably priced, fast, accurate, innovative, passionate and having international savvy by applying lean strategy and knowledge management principles into the operation.
